A Day at the Fair!

Dallas, Texas

sunny 90 °F

They say everything's bigger in Texas, including the State Fair!

This is the largest State Fair in the country and we believe it! We were there all day and didn't even see it all. Today was Blue Hair Day (read Senior Day) that meant we all got in free. It was a fun day, with a Shanghai Circus, Texas State Museum, a wonderful Bird Show, and, of course, lots of food!

It just so happened that the Marine Corps Drum and Bugle Corp performed today and we were able to enjoy the performance.

Naturally, we all were comparing it to the New York State Fair. One of the things we missed were the animals. Don and I always go to the New York Fair to see the 4 and 6 horse hitches, but there didn't seem to be any equestrian events :(. I'm sure there were animals, but we never did find them!
