Yesterday afternoon Shirley and I (mostly Shirley) did some geocaching right here at the campground. Due to being in Canada, we didn't have the gps on our phones to help with location, so Shirley read all the comments on the website about the cache!! We were able to find the cache and were very proud of ourselves ![]()
Today we took a leisurely ride along the coast of Vancouver Island, stopping whenever we wanted.first we went over Malahat Mt with gorgeous views of the water from above. We stopped in Mill Bay, then in Cowichan Bay for lunch. It was just warm enough to be able to eat outside and enjoy it. Of course, the Canadians were all wearing shorts and tank tops and Shirley and I had on jeans and sweatshirts! These Canadians are a hearty lot! Maple Bay was a tiny little waterfront area with a boat dock and swimming beach. Very pretty! Our last stopping spot was Transfer Park in Lady Smith, which was great park. There was swimming (brrr), kid's areas, concessions and lots of room for whatever you would like to do. It was very beautiful, as well. ![]()
